Every appointment starts with a proper consultation, not a nod in the mirror. Prices below are starting points; your stylist confirms the exact quote before picking up a brush.
Cuts and styling
Precision cuts for every length and texture, from a soft French bob to a proper skin fade. Wash, cut and finish included, curls welcome, kids from age 5.
Colour and balayage
Hand-painted balayage, glossy root melts, full head tints and colour corrections. We use Wella and Redken and finish every colour with a bond-building treatment.
Keratin smoothing
Frizz gone for up to four months without losing your natural movement. Halves your drying time and survives Manchester rain, which is saying something.
Nails
Gel manicures, BIAB strengthening, builder gel extensions and pedicures that last. Nail art from a subtle French tip to full chrome. Sterilised tools every single client.
Brows and lashes
Brow lamination, HD brows, tinting and shaping, lash lifts and classic or hybrid extensions. Mapped to your face, never to a trend.
Bridal and occasion
Trial, wedding-morning styling and make-up for you and your party, in the studio or at your venue. We've done 140 weddings and have never once been late.
The team
Twelve stylists, zero egos.
Studio Nove opened in 2016 with three chairs above a record shop on Oldham Street. Founder Priya Nair had spent nine years in London salons and wanted somewhere that felt fashionable without being intimidating: good music, honest advice and stylists who actually listen.
Today we're a team of twelve across hair, nails and brows, each with their own specialism. Ask for Marcus for curls and fades, Elena for lived-in blondes, Sofia for nails, and Priya still takes bridal bookings herself.

FAQ
Before you book
Where exactly are you?
52 Oldham Street, Manchester M4, on the first floor above Vinyl Exchange. Two minutes from Piccadilly Gardens tram stop; the nearest car park is NCP Church Street.
Do I need a patch test for colour?
Yes, if you're new to us or haven't had colour here in the last six months. Pop in for 5 minutes at least 48 hours before your appointment, no booking needed.
What's your cancellation policy?
Move or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before. Inside 24 hours we charge 50% of the booked service; no-shows are charged in full. Colour and bridal bookings need a 20% deposit.
Can I request a specific stylist?
Absolutely. Pick your stylist when you book online, or choose 'any stylist' for the earliest slot. Prices vary slightly by stylist level: Stylist, Senior and Director.
How do gift vouchers work?
Buy any amount from £25 online and it's emailed instantly, or pick up a printed card in the salon. Vouchers are valid for 12 months and can be spent on any service or product.
Do you do walk-ins?
We keep two chairs for walk-ins on Saturdays and Sundays, but cuts book up by mid-morning. Message us on WhatsApp first and we'll tell you honestly how long the wait is.
